I’m Erika, a family portrait photographer based in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane area. I’m also a mom, a lover of laughter, and a firm believer that the best photos come from real moments, not just stiff poses.

As a mom myself, I know firsthand how quickly the days fly by and how priceless it is to freeze those tiny, perfect slices of time. I also know that kids don’t always cooperate, toddlers have their own agendas, you probably bribed your teenager to be there, and sometimes the sweetest photos happen in the middle of the chaos not when everyone is perfectly posed and smiling at the camera.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I love family photography.

I’m not looking for perfect. I’m looking for real.
